In the software past, the possibility was also offered, but between <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.phabricator.com\/D3101\">July 2012<\/a> and 2016, the logo was a resource embedded into new sprites, with other header graphics.<\/p>\n<p>You can <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.phabricator.com\/T4214\">track the issue<\/a> on Phabricator&#8217;s Phabricator.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile a solution is provided by the product, here the procedure to update the UI and change the logo.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>History<\/h2>\n<p>In August 2016, it&#8217;s now possible to edit the logo at directly in the configuration at the following Phabricator URL: \/config\/edit\/ui.logo\/<\/p>\n<p>This <a title=\" Break logo\/name into replaceable parts\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/phacility\/phabricator\/commit\/3ea31c92b916211887f5b9337a8efa9b8ee3d93f\">November 6th commit<\/a> has broken the logo into two parts, so you can keep the Phabricator eye and replace the product name.\u00a0 <strong>As such, the exact dimensions noted on this blog post should be discarded if you use the latest version (after 2014-11-06) of Phabricator.<\/strong> The methodology is still the same.<\/p>\n<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>The logo is embedded in the webroot\/rsrc\/image\/sprite-menu-X2.png file. A 50% version is located at webroot\/rsrc\/image\/sprite-menu.png.<\/p>\n<p>So, all the items used in the most top bar are embedded in one image:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dereckson.be\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/sprite-menu-X2-with-bg.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-345\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dereckson.be\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/sprite-menu-X2-with-bg.png\" alt=\"sprite-menu-X2-with-bg\" width=\"300\" height=\"302\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dereckson.be\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/sprite-menu-X2-with-bg.png 300w, https:\/\/www.dereckson.be\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/sprite-menu-X2-with-bg-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.dereckson.be\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/sprite-menu-X2-with-bg-298x300.png 298w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A CSS rule allows to select the portion needed of the file.<\/p>\n<p>The easiest procedure is so to prepare a suitable version of your logo respecting the size constraint, edit both files, to replace the genuine Phabricator logo by yours and then to regenerate cached resources.<\/p>\n<h2>Prepare a version of your logo<\/h2>\n<p>The X2 file uses a 298&#215;52 version of your logo, the main file a 149&#215;26 version.<\/p>\n<p>Your logo will be printed against a #1E2224 background. If you want to provide a good and consistent\u00a0 look, a light gray white gradient is fine.<\/p>\n<h2>Edit the sprites picture<\/h2>\n<p>Remove the Phabricator logo, and paste yours. Respect the size and position constraints:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>sprite-menu.png starts the logo at (0px , 63 px)<\/li>\n<li>sprite-menu-X2.png starts the logo at (0px , 126 px)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Deploy the logo<\/h2>\n<p>Put your files in your phabricator\/webroot\/rsrc\/image folder.<\/p>\n<p>Then, regenerate Celerity files running the homonym command:<\/p>\n<pre>$ cd \/opt\/phabricator\/\r\n$ .\/bin\/celerity map<\/pre>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Write a tool<\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;re welcome to provide a tool to resize an image both in 298&#215;52 and 149&#215;26 sizes, then add it in blank files at the right coordinates.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imagemagick.org\/Usage\/\">ImageMagick<\/a> is probably a good solution for that.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Before summer 2016, Phabricator didn&#8217;t provide a quick way to change the logo.
